was reading through all our old blog posts, and I realised that we've really been through a lot. From our 'conflict period', where everyone was complaining on the blog about the cliques in class, to the invigorate days, where we were posting up posts of how much we love v11 and how we 'did it again' haha. I miss every single bit of 06v11, the good and the bad :( I miss our dirty smelly classroom too.

You probably know nothing at all. That's correct, except for the dates and the venue of the chalet (Costa Sands- Pasir Ris, 12th-14th Nov), or you may not even be aware of that. That's alright. If you knew everything, then i'm probably wasting my time here.

1. It is a duplex.
2. ALL are invited to stay overnight.
3. Guys are to bring their sleeping bags if they intend to stay overnight as the rest will be occupying the beds.

Hi guys!
haven't been blogging for awhile, but Invigorate has been such a compelling event xD just thought I'd say a few things.
It's gonna be such an understatement to say that our 5 overall game victories were impressive, but what moved me most was our vigour displayed especially during the final match.

Woah, when we were doing the "let's go 11, let's go" cheer, the feet stamping was so deafening, and probably very intimidating too. But I guess what really made us scary was the way we stuck by each other and played our hearts out for something we truly love.
While players on the court fought their hearts out, others on the sidelines cheered their hearts out.
It was the pinnacle of great team work.
Everyone was playing, everyone played. either on the court, or beside it. It wasn't a team of 5-8 people they were facing, it was a 61- strong, raw v11 power.

I'm really happy for us, because we've found in ourselves something different. Something special. Something to remember, and something that we've also passed on to our dear juniors.
I guess it's been as magical an experience they've had, as it's been for us.
It was us drumming and us playing most of the time for the first day, but by 10am on the second day, juniors were starting the matt beat, and playing side by side, shoulder to shoulder with us on the court.
It was such a heartwarming and tremendous experience.
The v11 legacy lives on.
Well done to us all! Our seniors are really proud of us!

lol, many of our 11 forebears are so happy for us! They're elated that we've caught the v11 fire, and now it's our turn to cheer cos we've passed on the torch to our juniors.
And what a long way we've comed! A long way since our orientation, our qing tian days, our first bbq, and our invigorate last year.

Lol, "We should save the emo-ing till the end", is what we always say =P but all this out-pouring of sentiments and the sudden (population) blog-post boom and tag-board boom is a show of how much v11 means to all of us.
That's really precious. To have a group of people all shouting for, cheering for, crying for, feeling for,them in themselves; that's something really precious.
Let's not say "3 more weeks" or "till the end of this year." Our journey has just begun!
We'll remember how Grace broke the toilet bowl seat, we'll remember Alicea's inspiring treasurer speech, we'll remeber how we won the 4 x 100m relay on sports day, how we all ran and won on cross country, how we fell in love with the sheer beauty and magic of our comaraderie in Inv!gorate, and how our passion and love for each other ignited such a flame in us.
And all these will be with us as we go on from here, we'll go for class dinner this friday, and we'll still have class dinners when we're 20, when we're 30, when we're 40 and as long as we can.

Thanks for the precious memories guys,
it makes me smile just to think about it.
But let's continue creating memories, for
"that's what memories are made of."

haha im really very proud of 06v11 (and 07v11 of course [: ) a big thank you to the inv!gorate team cos i really think that it helped the seniors and juniors bond.

it felt really good to stand with everyone and cheer for our classmates on the court. haha okay i dont wish to repeat what jerald said (he can phrase it better than i can anyway), so i just wanna say that im really really proud of 06v11. we've done it again! (:

yeah and i must say, the girls' floorball match was the most magical of the lot. the penalty shootout, followed by sudden death was super cool. the best moment was when jing scored that deciding ball and everyone just started screaming and swarming to the front to hug the girls who were playing. yes and the sight of everyone screaming and jumping together in a circle is something that i will remember for a long long time. it really touched me too, when menglu, june, grace etc started crying, it shows how much we all feel for this class. (:

i dont wanna be emo, (not yet cos we still have about 2-3 weeks to enjoy!) but yeah, i want to thank everyone in 06v11 for all the happy memories that you have given me. thank you for everything, and let us all enjoy ourselves and treasure our time left kay.

and yes, what a beautiful way to end our second year here :) (ok, dismiss the fact that we still got vectors 2 and our favourite - chinese lessons!)

the fact the inv!gorate has managed to get people from our class bonded and working ever so closely was a great sign of the class spirit that has managed to develop over the past year or so

really really great work done by everyone in the class, the supporting/cheering, the playing etc.. the battle scars, burnt skin and bruised bodies (no bruised egos i hope! :P) all reflect this tremendous amount of hardwork we have allowed ourselves to endure together

the constant cheering our teams received; the way our juniors and us were so ready to support each other; as well as the message pu en (wushu girl!) sent, all added that special touch to this experience didnt it? :)

yes, i may sound a little 'emo' (overused word ain't it?) here, but as the curtain falls on these last few months (haha, sounding a little like 'cephreas' now), just thought i'd share these thoughts with you guys (and gals of course)..

and to end off, i'd think it'd be fitting to end off with the phrase that mr boy put in one of his videos for our class at the very start of last year,

Class Chalet

Good evening.

To begin this evening, we shall broach the much awaited topic of our class chalet.
The important questions to answer would be:

1. When the chalet is held
2. Where
3. How many people will come
4. How much to pay

At the preliminary stage, the class comm had earlier mentioned going to Sentosa for the class chalet, since it encompasses both indoor and outdoor activities. Anyone with feasible venues in mind can raise them as well.

The chalet needs to be held at a time where most people can come, which is most probably december, since the scholars (PRCs and Indian) will be away for the most of November.

The amount to pay depends on the number of people who turn up. Well of course it will be fun if more people come, and the atmosphere would be lighter if each person has less to pay...

Therefore, the class comm will proceed to make bookings for the chalet during September hols, and aim to release more concrete details about the class chalet before then. Please keep the above in mind when planning for overseas trips, falls, etc.

Hello!

Now that the new semester has unrolled, there are a few issues to handle, amongst which finances are one. New semester=new printing fees=$13.35! ($$suckers)

In our recent class comm meeting, we decided on a few things.

1. We will be printing class tees before invigorate this year. (Cost optimistically projected to be <$10)
2. We will be having a class chalet at the end of the year. Venue unconfirmed yet, could be at Sentosa or NTUC chalets... depending on majority preference and practicality.

So anyway, the point is that all these require $$$$ :} So we shall accumulate at snail's pace...

Next thing,
Jourdan and Beau have sketched the duty roster for the remainder of this year, which will be put up shortly, so please keep a lookout for the noticeboard.

Every Friday will be Springcleaning by the cl ass comm. So whatever barang that's left unattended will be attended by the big black bag.

Till the end of the year, let's work hard together!

p.s. we have less than 5 months left together... it's time to cherish and love one another (not that we haven't been doing so, but more intensely)... lol :}

On a side note, just to let you know, we were thinking of decorating the orange wall in class with photographs of us! Well, yes we are getting back to school, back for classes, however over the last 2 or 3 months, the class has been over-run once again by dust. so, it once more up to us to clean up the classroom. pick up a broom or bring a towel. and start cleaning whenver ure free!

Yes it was a bit sad we were'nt grouped into class groups but inter-cohort instead, still, i hope everyone had fun at the camp, making new friends whom u may not know at all, learning to work better in groups and leading, of course.

haha... chalets is officially OVER!!! Omgness... we had so much fun... staying up late nights, saying goodnight at 5a.m., travelling to cheers at 3am early in the morning, sleeping on the floor as the beds are fully booked, playing cards to pass time etc. (the usual chalet stuff)

And great thanks to video comm for that wonderful video...

And the cooking comm, chicken wing comm, mashmallow comm, fire starter comm, drinks comm, beehoon comm, eating comm, satay comm, charcoal comm, wire gauze comm, anti-rain comm, margerine comm, sotong comm, sausage comm, almond dessert comm, birthday cake comm, forks spoons plates comm, fanning the fire comm, paparazzi comm and all the rest that guowei cant think of comm for making a barbecue such a huge success.

of course, there was the most horrible part... leaving the chalet :(

It's been a long time, the chalet's just days away! It's time to start the countdown! =D

Let's settle the housekeeping issues first!

We are gonna be at executive suite no: 2322 (nice number huh?)
Check in time is: Wednesday, 6th December, 3pm-10pm
A lunch meet-up before check-in has been proposed. Any idea where we can lunch?

Time to talk money =P
The total cost of the chalet itself (excluding BBQ pit booking fees + other stuff)
is S$483.
A round of applause goes to June for taking on the ardous task of money-collection! *clap clap clap*

It is not an easy collecting the money, Let's co-operate with June so complications are minimised and we don't make it any more difficult than it is.

So do remember to bring the money due on the day itself, it shall be collected during the chalet.
Calculations are still being made, you shall be notified of the exact amount shortly.

Next important thing is the food!

Pot-luck was agreed, so pot-luck it shall be!
A list of food needed shall be generated on Monday 4th Dec, during the video team meetings,
if you are coming for the chalet, you shall be contacted shortly thereafter, in arranging the food assigned to you.
(Do try to bring extra junk food such as chips etc! JT will be very pleased =P)

Hey guys,

Yes by now you should have received word that we're going to have a 32nd member in our class so I would just like to clarify a few things. No matter what our newest member did to get retained, he starts on a new slate with us. I don't think we should be spreading rumors as to what he did or who he was in the past. We were chosen because we supposedly had the best learning environment, let's give him all the support we can to ensure that he can bounce back from this. The challenge for us is to stick together as a class, think of it as a giant covalent structure with inner ionic bonds if you will, and envelope our new classmate into our unique class identity.

That being said, the class chalet is coming up soon. Hopefully the details will be up by the end of the week. Everybody just try to make it even for one segment.

Hi everyone!

It's Yi Ling again.

Well, from the discussions going on on the tagboard, I gather there are a number of things we are all really hyped up about and everyone's just about agreed on them.

They'd be:

1) Midnight Movie (one of the nights)
2) BBQ (one of the nights)
3) Escape!
4) Wet n' Wild

I believe we'd all agree that since a number of people can not make it on the first night, it'd be nice to have the BBQ on the second night instead. It'd also be the hightlight, or climax of sorts...
Well, we will invite the teachers for the BBQ then?
Can we come up with a list of teachers?
Or perhaps it'd be better to invite all our teachers as a thank you for all their effort and hard work this year :P
So if everyone's okay with the "invite all teachers" arrangement, I shall be sending them the email invitations on the coming Friday, 17th November, 6pm.

Day One

Escape or Wet 'n Wild : After check-in

Dinner at wherever: After Escape or Wet 'n Wild ( time where some ppl join in)

Games and the like: After Dinner

Nidnight Movie: From 12am- ?? ( Probably at some mall in Pasir Ris or even Tampines mall)

More wild fun or retreat to Dreamland: the rest of the night

Day 2

Morning sleepyheads! Breakfast at Macs or wherever : Time depending on what time we awake

Slacking around or BBQ preparation: After we come back from breakfast ( such as marination)

Escape or Wet n' Wild: After a light lunch maybe ( depending on where we go on the 1st day)

BBQ set-up: 4pm or thereabout ( all the guys get their hands dirty with charcoal!)

BBQ: all the way till about 9pm-10pm

Final snatches of Wild fun ( or can not ta han then conk out :P hahaha): till wee hours of the morning

Pack up + Check out : By 10am I think

That should be all, though I am aware that the BBQ prep and purchasal of food may not be neccessary should the relavant people decide to prepare beforehand.
Lastly, one thing I hope we all can do as a class would be a performance of sorts to the teachers who are coming... Perhaps a short song we all sing together accompanied by actions and all that jazz. We can then prepare(performance) on the first night perhaps. Yeah, that'd be nice.

One year has really past so fast. I just want to say that I have really enjoyed my one year as a one-oner, and grown to love us as us.

Reading my blog posts of months ago, I find it so beautful that somehow, everything's worked out. We started off united, or rather united in thinking that we were. Then came the conflicts, yes, and all the ugliness... But here, at the end of it all, here, on the 12th November 2006, I guess when I and many else can look at our class and feel a great sense of pride and love, we have indeed grown together through all these months.

And we do have the right to be proud. It's pride warranted! Look at how we have grown, we can proudly say that we have to date been award 2 Haagen Daz vouchers as a class, and 1 haagen Daz voucher for one of our groups in indie... From first in Iki Masho, till 3rd in Inv!gorate, till top in almost every subject academically, the things we have achieved as a class is a testimony to our excellence in diverse areas.

But more than that, without all the ice cream, without all the medals and affirmations.... Should we be stripped of all our achievements, we find we are not naked wihout them, for what we have is true substance. Beneath our achievements is that which is profoundly more significant, and from which, all else is a manifestation of- Our class spirit.

It makes me smile to think of the way we can come up with games and sit in a circle as a full class, playing them, as if it was still January...still orientation. No, we are not perfect, it isn't Utopia we live in, but it is the flaws as well, that makes us such a beautiful class...

It's so shameless for me to get all mushy like this, but I was compelled to express this love for 11, which I feel we all share, more or less... One more year, 12 more months, I just hope that next year would be yet another tremendous year for all of us.

Chalet Details

The Chalet's confirm going to be on the 6th -8th December, so please try to keep that day free.

If we are going to have a BBQ on the first night, let's start discussing on the ICs for the food, logistics and stuff like that.

Other things to consider would be:
1) "Escape" or "wild wild wet" on the second day
2) midnight movie on first night
3) Invitation of teachers to BBQ if there is one.

About point 3, I thought it'd be nice if we can invite a couple of teachers like Mr. Boy and especially the teachers who are going to be leaving us next year like Ms hoo? or Mr Koh?

Yeah, please start discussing about these ideas, or maybe suggest some other things we can do... Well, I know for sure good food (junk food) and games are a must ofcourse, I for one anticipate "bridging" all night :P

Holiday Plans

Dear 06V11,

The end of the school term beckons. After Indiventure week we would be off, back to intensive CCA involvement as well as revision for R-papers and preparation for next year. But all is not bleak.

First of all, I thought that spring cleaning was a big success. It was slow at first but we got things done fast and even had time for games. We've definitely grown as a class.

Now that the holidays are coming, I want to know who's interested in a class chalet. If you guys want a class chalet, bookings have to be made asap. Tag on the tagboard please. Any suggestions for class outings would be welcome too.

OK, update on class decor. I'm not sure we'll be in the same classroom next year, but I'll ask. Either case I'll let you guys know. If you all are up for decorating the class further, it'll take a group effort. People just go down and help out when they are free and stuff.

hello everyone, it's been a while hasn't it? hurhur. anyways, now its the 10th of October. 11 30 or so. now the lit ppl are getting ready for their paper. the last paper for the EOYs. Yes. We are all happy aren't we? hm? aren't we? hah. okay everyone. two day worth of rest for wenesday and thursday. then friday's the farewell assembly for the year twos. then we move on to the 14th. saturday. the VJC open house. i'm sure most of you are already involved in it. a hope so.

Did you know? While GuoWei was busy mugging, he found this really cool game website: http://www.starkingdoms.com.

It's a strategy game where you have your own planet in some part of a "galaxy" and there are other planets around you. You can choose your planet type too. Also, blah blah.

GuoWei wasted one hour and five minutes on the first day he started playing the game. Subsequently, he only used five minutes of his time a day on this game. WHY? Because this game runs in real time and it takes quite a while for things to get built and soldiers to be trained and time. It took me 26 hours for my troops to fly to my closest neighbouring planet. This game is so boring that you will never get addicted to it. And even if you do, you will only spend around five minutes a day. This game is great for the short 5-10 minute breaks in the "at-home-mugging-timetable-that-my-mother-forced-me-to-tabulate".

Muggers Unite!!

Well, and non-muggers too...

Needless to say, I believe everyone's starting to feel the pressure mounting on our academic workload in recent times as we witness and experience the exasperation that comes with avalenche after avalanche of work and tests...

Well, Sir Henry Dickenson once commented that the best way to get through difficult times is to learn to be silly...
"learn to be silly?..." The first thing that comes to mind is laughing at everything and anything like a fool. (I can do a demonstration... * Points at keyboard retardedly and collapses in laughter*) Hurhur... but it is true though, that learning to be a little less stingy with our smiles and laughs goes a long way n making life that much enjoyable. We all just gotta learn to laugh at our own mistakes and failures... Easy enough to say, and difficult indeed to act upon, haha, that I am so familiar with. Well, but come to think of it, we have gotta learn to open our mouths if we want to laugh... and to let go of some cookies if the hand is ever gonna get out of the cookie jar... okay, I know I am not making sense.

That aside, I was wondering if anyone's interested in study groups? Now, come on... No... it's not a mugger mugger kind of thing, we are all more than that aren't we? Well, coming together to study helps us to cover more depth in terms of being introduced to other perspectives especially in subjects such as LA and SS... it also makes revision that much more bearable. It is agreed though, that the propensity for eventual distraction is pretty high, but we can all learn to exercise a little more self-discipline here. So, who's for trying that out?

Alternatively, I was thinking it'd be good to have people who are strong in certain subjects to "mass-coach" the rest on their weak areas. For example, *Insert name* could give the class a crash course on logarithms? (*gulps*). It sure sounds like a comforting notion doesn't it? Well, do take the initiative to put these ideas into constructive actions if they do appeal to you, cos nothing's gonna happen unless enough support is shown and enough is done. So, do drop a little message of approval or any other comments you want to make on the tag board where we could all discuss it further Haha, well, it'd only work if we have the will and want to, I believe.

Hey everyone!!

It's that time of the year again!!! Let's do something for all our wonderful teachers...
Well, esmond's going to make a movie which I am sure will be great (if he leaves out SOME of the photoes...right Esmond?Haha, pardon me, there's some form of paparazzi going on here :P). Anyway, I was thinking it'd be great if we can come up with something, as a little class effort in appreciation of all our teachers... it could be a surprise in the form of a cake? a little performance? invitation to a class outing? and what have you... so to cut a long story short, it's time to flood the suggestion box again!!...

Well, on a lower note, the suggestions committee would also like to apologise for taking longer than what was planned and expected in coming up with a suggestions report for the first semester. You have our assurance though, that your valued two-cent contributions have been evaluated, looked into, and acted upon. Due to recent and upcoming events though (tests, projects and assignments ofcourse), it is our regret that much hasn't been done, and cannot be till later dates. Rest assure however, that the suggestions report will be construed in good time, and other proceedings such as the class deco would be back on track. Meanwhile, do keep those comments coming in, especially ideas you may have on teachers' day...

19th May is a day to remember :)

The Class BBQ was quite a success. A slow start, but that doesnt matter. Once we were all in the mood, it was great. Lets see, to recap, i'll say a brief summary of events, then i'll go on to acknowledgements and afterwords.

Recap
Food was stored at the Scholar's hostel till the afternoon. From 3 30 to about 5pm, mini-games played such as volleyball and frisbee. Lets see, Yi Ling dunked Debby just about when more people arrived. In the end, about half of the people there ended up tossing Yi Ling into the sea. Grace was hiding under the BBQ pit area coz Yi Ling wanted to dunk her. Ended up where a lighter was combusting and Grace was totally oblivious to what was happening about 30 cm above her head...

Food was collected on schedule, and the fire was started quite fast. Food cooked and pre-cooked food vanished into empty and hungry stomachs. Soccer was played briefly, then a small game of truth or dare, and I've never.

Acknowledgements
I would like to thank all those who came, brought items for the BBQ, brought food and drinks for the BBQ, helped in class bonding. A big thank you to all the scholars who not only helped to store the food, but also for buying some stuff and also making the chocolate fudge. A thanks to Jing Jing for making it to the BBQ even after her training.

Afterwords
So thats that. That was a great experience for all who came. Our Japan Cultural night is getting urgent. ppl pls start working on your lines and acts.

Japan Cultural Night

Yo oners,

Amongst the buzz of preparing for the barbecue this Friday, we should also be working with our scene leaders to get ourselves "familiarised" with the script.

Memorise. Memorise. Memorise.

No hint intended. (Well, it's obvious now isn't it?)

As it is highly probable that our class will be the last class to perform, we have to make our performance end with a slam.

Yes, we are the grand finale.

Althea, Pu En and I will be doing checks on the progress of each individual scene this Thursday or Friday, depending on which day the entire cast in the scene can make it.

We'll be getting the music part either by the end of this week or the first thing mext week so we can practise our co-ordinations and dance. We will also have our mass rehearsal on the double period break on the last wednesday of term 2.

We have 2 weeks.

We have to work towards the goal of winning this "champion" title not only because we want to make our seniors proud, but also to make ourselves proud. After all, we fight and work hard to win.

Barbecue Fiesta!!

Haha hello everyone, with only 6 more days left to the class BBQ, I hope all of you are bristling with excitment!!

Well, it's ok if you are not. (correction:not yet, cos you soon will, (I hope).
Ok, for a start, I really want to extend my ardent appreciation to all who have given their support to this class effort, I think it is really important for us to know that this is a class effort. Let this be a concerted and conscious effort to bring us all closer together. Cos, we really need to gel together and become a more united 1. So here's a big thank you to all who are coming, and all who want to, but for some reason or other can not make it, but who are nevertheless, contributing in other ways. Your efforts are important, and highly valued.

Alright, mushy stuff aside, I do hope we can have some games before the BBQ actually starts. It would really be useful in getting us all into the mood, but most importantly, it is during these games, perhaps, that we get to interact with one another in an incommensurable way. Please take the initiative therefore, to come up with games, and initiate them. Some games we would be playing would be

Soccer,
Volleyball and
Frisbee

I implore all to keep an open mind in giving these games a try, even if you are not familiar with, or do not take a liking to them. Alternatively, you could always initiate a game of your choice.

The PRC scholars and Indian scholars are also coming together to make a fudge cake for the class! :) Now, isn't that heartwarming?... ... Well, really hope that it would not just be a fudge cake creation process but also a bond-building process. (And let us keep our fingers crossed that all of them are good cooks...) haha...joking joking...seriously, The fusion of Orient and Indian culinary cultures would definitely be something exciting. hehe..so that's something to look forward to!!

Well, I hope we are all more jazzed up, now that we know of all the wonderful exhilaration install.... hahaha. Let's make this BBQ a success, so that we go home with something more that happily satiated stomachs-memories that shall last us a lifetime.

(P.S Do bring an extra set of clothes, dunking propensity is prerilously high.)

Nothing much to say.

About half the class can make it for the BBQ, however, there are many ppl who are "not sure". If thats the case, am i supposed to make this compulsory or something? I mean, if all those who dont wanna come coz they wanna slack or play or do wadeva lame stuff, then u all that has been said from the past weekend has no meaning at all. Empty words spoken.

Pls do ure best to make it for this is like the only outing we have so far. Fortunately, many of those ppl who are currently going have volunteered to bring food and stuff. We thank ppl like guo wei, pu en, debby, jing jing, grace and jourdan, and also some of the scholars for volunteering their services for this BBQ of ours.

Well, now i hope most of this stuff has settled down a bit. Theres been a definite improvement, although i still notice some ppl still have adopted back the behaviours we all hate so much. But never mind.

Please volunteer to bring some food in order for us to get through this much more quickly.
I think it would be a good idea to organise some games or something between the end of school till the BBQ. Would someone volunteer to do so?
Not all of us can make it, but its still a majority.
The Pit has been booked, its the bigger sized one. Pit number 44. Remember! 44.

Pu En, Althea and I will be working on the skit we'll have to perform during this Japan Trip.

The new edited script will be up on Wednesday. (The old script will be taken down)

However, the castings will be up tomorrow. Most of you will be acting (31 roles) [edited: found a way to squeeze all in] and ALL will be involved in the process of making this class production.

All actors will be notified by either Pu En or me by today or early tomorrow morning if for any reason any of the actors cannot be reached today.

We will work together to supersede our seniors and keep the champion title.

I hope you guys trash it out instead of complaining and give mere hints that do nothing to solve the situation. Don't be naive, the world is not going to change because of you alone. But we can talk and come to a compromise, if only you give the other person a chance and that other person mature and understanding enough to agree for the betterment of the class.

I don't think it's that big a problem until people enlarge the whole thing and not say it out. Forget it, the past is the past. From now on, anything happens, say it out. And nobody's left out.

That is the end of the matter from my side. I'm not going to say anymore. If you all want a session for the whole class to let it out, let me know.

alot has happened in the past 4 months or so. we never would have thought 06v11 would end up this way. all i would like to say is, it is not the class comm's fault it ended up this way. neither is it fully our responsibility to bring it back up again. it is EVERYONE'S duty to work together, bring the 06v11 back, the fun class it was during IPO.

cliques are inevitable. but there has to be harmony within the class. some people dont even see anything wrong with the class. we cannot leave people out. everyone is part of this class.

ok that's total bullshit.

no one bothers about this class.
no one cares.

if no one is gonna take any action, this class will remain in the dumps.

The admins rights stay temporary for the time being. We shall have a meeting among all current admins soon to collectively decide who shall have access to the admin rights and to what extent.

I'm liking what I'm seeing. An open front and honest feedback session. I believe everything has had their say on the issue and I would like you guys to keep it coming.

I guess my stand here can be summarised in the two words: Sensitivity and Respect.

I think it's apparent how those two words can be applied onto the situation. I don't think we should stand here and point fingers at anybody or try to defend ourselves but to seriously engage in some introspection.

It's not about changing yourselves, but some sensitivity and respect won't do you any hurt. Have you thought about what you can do? What you should do? Do you have that thin line between being realistic and pessimistic clearly defined?

Of course, is your idea of a united community different from others? To the last question, I believe everybody has different takes on it, and different expectations. That is true for everything else because we are unique individuals. Now you see the importance of the two words, because only with them can you come to a compromise, a mutual understanding.

In any case, I'm glad this has come to the forefront and now hopefully we can move on - together.

Removal of Admin roles from all.

Dear oners,

I have noticed that one blog post has been taken off from the class blog. That blog post was posted by Ian titled Screwed up 11. As seen below, one of the blog admin had "drafted" the post, hiding it from the audience of the class blog, for reasons best known to that person.

The blog is a site for classmates to communicate their views on issues close to their hearts. All postings are meant to be kept in view at all times. It is meant for sharing and dialogue.

In view of this case, where the posting has been taken of from view, it is in the best interest of the class that the admin roles be restricted to avoid such incidents from happening again. As such, the 6 admin holders, apart from me, will have no access to the "behind the scenes" of the class blog.

Term 2 Reflections

Sometimes we make a mountain out of a molehill and it's true that with good intent also comes with a tendency to want to do too much-- and when that's not successful, depression and disappoint sets in.

To be honest I only have two goals for the class, that I believe if acheived, will make it much better.

1) Don't expect everyone in class to be able to talk to everyone because ultimately there will be differences in character, traits and personality. In any case, with that you must possess a certain level of maturity and understanding in order for different groups to share a common thing (that we are a class) and effectively fly the flag high.

2) Be sensitive. I can't stress this enough. Open your eyes, try and put yourself in another person's shoes before talking behind a person's back. Think about the consequences before you type. Just think before you act.

These goals are not impossible, think about it.

Anyway, Japan is coming up and our cultural performance script will be done by this week. This means we will need to schedule rehearsals and make sure attendence is good. Just informing ahead of time. I will print a script for all of you if you want, just be aware and volunteer for a part or something. I'm sure we have something for everybody.

Secondly, Inv!gorate is still on. It is likely to be held on the first week of Term 3. The final teams for all the sports will be up on the board next week. It is your duty and responsibility to collaborate with the senior class.

Lastly, the parents-principal-teachers session is next week. And all the results will be out by next week. I would like to say, it's time to reflect on what you could have done better and what you should do, but marks are not everything. Before you start on a competitive spree asking around how much the people next to you got without considering that that very person might be extremely disappointed and needs some time to reflect, remember: be sensitive.

Although I must say we've gone through some highs and lows as a class and it is good to have everyone pushing you to greater heights, be it in terms of character or the academics.

Time is but a lonely factor that dictates the direction and flow of events. But you dictate WHAT the events are. Make them count.

"Anything Broken Can Be Fixed, Given Time."

Some of you would have heard that before. Now think about this statement. All those who r in bad moods or are on the verge of exploding. Even those cool and calm in the class.

There is one condition to fulfil this statement. The condition is you. In order to make this class successful, its not just about the class comm (no offense). In order for success, everyone has to be united, be more enthu in any situation. We will be together for another year and a half, maybe more.

Friday is a half day! Anyone willing to start off a lunch outing for those who can make it? Hurry!

The Japan Trip is just around the corner. 3-4 weeks from now, late at night, we will be flying off into the unknown, waking up in tokyo, rdy to start our self-discovery trip. The Things to bring has been given to us already. Prepare.

Today was a tiring day for all of us... yup... body aches.

Yay! We are going to Japan soon... And we have to come up with something for the Cultural night.. Yiling, Jingjing, Althea and Guowei(me) will be coming together to work out a skit for our class... We'll most probably have it done by Mon.... Meanwhile, start thinking about volunteering yourselves (or others) for acting in the skit for the class. Dont worry, we'll go easy on the lines...

Victoria IP Open House.

So 2mr is the IP open house! are we all excited all what? We're gonna be helping all over the place. Logistics, refreshments, presentations, and ushers. According to ppl, ushers hold the most important duty of the whole open house. The tour and the homely feeling. Presentations are also important. Give a false and good impression of the curriculum! haha. Go IP!

Don't forget. To give a good impression of our out going-ness, we have to be out-going. strike up a convo anytime possible.

To me, this is a test to be able to strike up a convo even if ure shy or whatever.

Back To School.

Although the past week has been both fun and slightly tiring, its time for us to get back to the reality that we are in VJC and we have school, classes to attend.

CCAs have been taking up a lot of time haven't they? Its a real headache when u have to pull yourself away from the homely classroom to go to your allocated place. The class and all its belongings are ours.

The class is our responsibility, although the duty roster has been changed, it is important to note that we should not make it hard for those who clean the room.

Do not [eat / throw away] wet [food / drinks] (e.g. fruits or certain fast foods)
Please avoid, out of habit, throwing things on the ground all the time.

Its the IP open house this coming saturday. Im sure we all want to best our seniors. Get ready to answer some of the expected questions (why did u pick VIP over all the other IP programmes?), and be prepared. theres nothing to be afraid of. We ( most) of us were there last year, most of us know what should be done.

One month. Japan, Tokyo. Are we ready? honestly, are we? Something to think about.

All those still loyal to this blog, please spread this around, more people should read this blog. especially those from 06v11.

Class Matters.

Dear oneone-ers,

I seriously need your feedback. Not about the condition of the class (physical properties), but of the atomosphere of the class, the friendliness of the class, etc. (mentality). This is overwhelming to me that we dont seem as bonded as i hoped we would be. If you have anything to say, post it on the tagboard, msg me or any of the class comm members, or u could also put a suggestion in the box which i would still collect. It would be brought up at the next meeting then. If some of u r unable to stand the way the class is like, contact me with your opinions.

There is word in the other classes about them making class t-shirts / jackets. It might just be possible for us to do so also. Any suggestions >> suggestions box. :D
