Inv!gorate and beyond!
haven't been blogging for awhile, but Invigorate has been such a compelling event xD just thought I'd say a few things.
It's gonna be such an understatement to say that our 5 overall game victories were impressive, but what moved me most was our vigour displayed especially during the final match.
Woah, when we were doing the "let's go 11, let's go" cheer, the feet stamping was so deafening, and probably very intimidating too. But I guess what really made us scary was the way we stuck by each other and played our hearts out for something we truly love.
While players on the court fought their hearts out, others on the sidelines cheered their hearts out.
It was the pinnacle of great team work.
Everyone was playing, everyone played. either on the court, or beside it. It wasn't a team of 5-8 people they were facing, it was a 61- strong, raw v11 power.
I'm really happy for us, because we've found in ourselves something different. Something special. Something to remember, and something that we've also passed on to our dear juniors.
I guess it's been as magical an experience they've had, as it's been for us.
It was us drumming and us playing most of the time for the first day, but by 10am on the second day, juniors were starting the matt beat, and playing side by side, shoulder to shoulder with us on the court.
It was such a heartwarming and tremendous experience.
The v11 legacy lives on.
Well done to us all! Our seniors are really proud of us!

lol, many of our 11 forebears are so happy for us! They're elated that we've caught the v11 fire, and now it's our turn to cheer cos we've passed on the torch to our juniors.
And what a long way we've comed! A long way since our orientation, our qing tian days, our first bbq, and our invigorate last year.
Lol, "We should save the emo-ing till the end", is what we always say =P but all this out-pouring of sentiments and the sudden (population) blog-post boom and tag-board boom is a show of how much v11 means to all of us.
That's really precious. To have a group of people all shouting for, cheering for, crying for, feeling for,them in themselves; that's something really precious.
Let's not say "3 more weeks" or "till the end of this year." Our journey has just begun!
We'll remember how Grace broke the toilet bowl seat, we'll remember Alicea's inspiring treasurer speech, we'll remeber how we won the 4 x 100m relay on sports day, how we all ran and won on cross country, how we fell in love with the sheer beauty and magic of our comaraderie in Inv!gorate, and how our passion and love for each other ignited such a flame in us.
And all these will be with us as we go on from here, we'll go for class dinner this friday, and we'll still have class dinners when we're 20, when we're 30, when we're 40 and as long as we can.
Thanks for the precious memories guys,
it makes me smile just to think about it.
But let's continue creating memories, for
"that's what memories are made of."
